It has been an extraordinary experience working with the King’s Palliative Care team, many of whom knew Dame Cicely; always going the extra mile for the patients with whom we come into contact and their families, supporting and challenging ourselves, and our colleagues, to give the best care.

Now I'm undertaking the inter-professional MSc here and this is my study desk. It is inspiring to think of Dame Cicely, working her way through nursing, social work and medicine so that she could make the most meaningful possible improvements for people approaching the end of their lives.
