The light was given to us by John Graham, an architect friend in Sydney. It can be away from its base/wire/plug and still lit. You can walk around with it shining in your hand. My wife and I like it particularly because its shape has a symbolic resonance for Hindus.

I had some very interesting conversations about God and religion with Cicely during the ten sittings for the portrait. As a result Cicely kindly accepted a sculpture based on a Hindu concept from me, which she was delighted to put in the chapel at St Christopher’s.
