Here is an art deco sidelight designed by Sabeno in our dining room illuminating our Christmas tree.

I trained at St Christopher’s Hospice from 1990 to 1994 working alongside Cicely. Christmas was a special time at the hospice with candles on the windows sills on Christmas Eve. A newborn baby, of one of the staff members, was carried through the wards leading the carol singers. This was a very special time for both patients and staff.

My motivation to work in palliative care for the last two decades was as a result of Cicely’s vision and dedication to improve care of the dying throughout the NHS.
