This is the "thinking" corner of my desk. On the wall in front of me there is a handwritten note from Cicely, a handwritten note from Neil MacDonald, and a photograph taken while sitting and talking with Vittorio Ventafridda and a dear friend outside a hotel in Venice. They have accompanied me in good and bad times during my more than 10 years in Houston.
