Spotlight on Global Impact

The Cicely Saunders Institute has published a new booklet showcasing the impact of the Institute’s research since it opened in 2010 and sharing highlights from the last 12 years. Publication was timed to coincide with the recent visit by HRH The Princess Royal to commemorate the Institute’s 10 year anniversary, postponed from 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The booklet was co-produced by Cicely Saunders International and outlines achievements in the management of breathlessness, home and community care, neurological rehabilitation, the COVID-19 pandemic, the Institute’s Patient and Public Involvement and policy initiatives and progress in capacity building and global health.
The booklet also outlines the challenges for healthcare in the future and how these challenges can be addressed by improving the reach and cost-effectiveness of palliative care for people of all ages.
