I was drawn to work at St. Christopher’s after a Christian conversion experience in 1983, and applied to be a “Research Fellow”. After an enjoyable conversation Cicely said “You are not really a research animal, are you, why not come here as one of our Registrars?”. So I did.

Cicely inspired me through her directness, the clarity of her ideas, her wonderful way with words and her humour.

Our dining table is the sight that greets me most evenings when I get home. Eating together is about companionship, which is at the heart of Cicely’s message.
