The lamp in this picture is in my guest room and reminds us that Cicely always treated the patients at St Christopher’s Hospice as valued guests from the manner in which they were greeted upon arrival and cared for during their stay. 

That welcome presaged a visit at the end of which all could feel well done. And that is our goal for all for whom we care- - -  and for us.
