I love the warmth of colour, intensity of light, and reflections. It mirrors deep concerns of hearts that care, invites continuity and promises hope.

Discovering palliative care has been like that for me. Troubled by too many people I knew who lived and died badly with MS, I have been drawn into writing, speaking, and committees, particularly to do with non-cancer and neurological conditions.

I wish I had met Dame Cicely Saunders...

But I do ‘introduce’ her to students and thrill at how they respond to her vision, determination, practicality, and compassion.
